Creating a Local test environment: Installing CentOs to VirtualBox & Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting:

After Install and reboot, if the system attempts to reinstall again, reclaim the space by hitting delete all. Exit from the install and go to setting on the main screen, click on system, then “ENABLE EFI” (special OSes only).

Click Ok.

Then reinstall CentOS just as you did before.

The above steps fixed the issue I was having when the VM software would not load properly. However, another fix was found after scouring the internet for a permanent solution.

While in Virtual Box do not power off the system before performing an ACPI shutdown.

Note: The ACPI shutdown will automatically power the OS down, saving the OSes state preventing the user from having to do an install again.
